Migration is a global phenomenon with a significant impact on communication in healthcare. Many migrants and health care professionals interact with each other in consultations without having a shared language or cultural background. The international RESTORE Conference 26-27 March 2015: Implementing migrant care initiatives beyond language and cultural barriers showcases research from around Europe about improving healthcare for migrants. It will have a particular focus on implementing initiatives to overcome language and cultural barriers in primary care consultations. Because of the focus on improving communication this conference could be of interest to the EACH membership.
