WONCA Asia-Pacific conference in Kyoto next week.
- Plenary Session 3 on Mental Health: Primary mental health care in Asia-Pacific, challenges and opportunities. This is a collaborative EACH-WONCA session. This will be on Thursday May 16, 15:30 to 17:00 in Room 1, Main Hall. It will be chaired by Christopher Dowrick and Ryuki Kassai, and will involve Evelyn van Weel-Baumgarten (EACH), Juan Mendive and Jill Benson. We will present the WONCA core competencies for primary mental health care, and then give the first international presentation of the Japanese Train the Trainer depression programme.
- “Workplace learning: How to give constructive and effective feedback on communication skills”. Day 3, May 17th (Friday) Time: 8:30 to 10:00 Room 11. This is a collaborative EACH-WONCA workshop. Evelyn van Weel-Baumgarten (EACH) will facilitate this session with two participants of the Japanese Train the Trainer programme which was an EACH Wonca collaborative project, and with Chiaki Mishima who is the EACH national representative for Japan.
