The proposal deadline has been extended for the 16th International Conference on Communication, Medicine, and Ethics (COMET), which will be hosted by The Interactive Studies Unit, Institute of Clinical Sciences and held at University of Birmingham, UK, 25-27 June 2018.
The COMET conference aims to bring together scholars from different disciplinary backgrounds involving various healthcare specialties and the human and social sciences. A special emphasis is on the dissemination of ongoing research in language/discourse/communication studies in relation to healthcare education, patient participation and professional ethics.

Drinks Reception and Conference Dinner
We hope speakers, delegates and guests will join us for Drinks and Dinner with Dippy the Dinosaur on the evening of Tuesday 26 June.
Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery is proud to host The Natural History Museum’s famous Diplodocus, known as Dippy. The full skeleton cast in its displayed pose is an impressive 21.3 metres long, 4.3 metres wide and 4.25 metres high. The exhibition will also show the amazing diversity of modern birds and how they evolved to become one of the most successful groups of animals inhabiting almost every part of the world from the oceans of Antarctica to tropical rain-forests.
The Drinks Reception is included in the delegate registration fee, the Conference Dinner is extra, £65 for delegates and £90 for guests. The Dinner tickets can be purchased during the registration process. Registration for the Conference Dinner will close on Friday 8 June.
Please note, the conference dinner is limited to 100 places.
