Home Programme Submissions Useful Information

We are delighted to invite you to participate in the 18th International Conference on Communication in Healthcare (ICCH), organised by EACH: International Association for Communication in Healthcare in partnership with ACH: Academy on Communication in Healthcare.   ICCH 2020 will be held from 8-11 September 2020 in the beautiful heart of Vienna; a UNESCO World Heritage Site and Austria’s cultural and political centre.

The conference will bring together the community of healthcare researchers, teachers, practitioners and policy makers from around the globe.  It provides a unique opportunity for the international and interactive promotion of best practices and innovation in the field.  Alongside a wide selection of sessions, plenary speeches will serve to challenge participants into considering new ideas and methods Rathausacross the spectrum of healthcare communication fields.  With a friendly and communicative atmosphere, ideas and outcomes from education, research & policy activities will be exchanged between individuals and institutions during networking sessions and social events.

The highlight of our social programme will undoubtedly be the celebratory conference dinner, held at the neo-gothic City Hall.  With five towers and seven inner courtyards, the seat of local government known as the ‘Rathaus’ will provide an impressive backdrop to the evening’s festivities.

Throughout the conference, participants will have an opportunity to share their work through;

  • HofburgOral presentations
  • Poster displays
  • Symposia
  • Workshops
  • Works in Progress submissions
  • Creative Arts sessions
  • Innovative Technology presentations
  • Roundtable discussions

From mid-November 2019 we will be inviting you to submit your work for review.  We welcome submissions from all stages of careers, including students and early-career professionals.  Abstracts should be related to communication in healthcare, including all health-related disciplines and all healthcare professions and non-healthcare professions such as psychology, social sciences and education.

PraterDeadline for Submissions: 1 February 2020

We look forward to seeing you next September in Vienna.
